Drift Walk

A playful way to collaboratively explore urban landscapes and take a break from everyday life.

We put on headphones and listen to a synchronized soundtrack. Using hand signals, we take turns leading each other for a few minutes at a time. We don’t know where we’ll end up or what we will experience. Sometimes we move slow, sometimes we move fast. The aim is to create a deep, shared experience of contemplation and discovery.

Sat 13:00, 17:00 Festival-Counter

Drift Club is an ongoing international project by game designer/poet Thom Kiraly and artist/curator Sebastian Quack, with contributions from a growing number of drift enthusiasts around the world. It's based on A Drift, a format originally developed by Thom with Mikael Vesavuori and Niklas Persson and featured at several urban play festivals around 2014. To find a drift near you or to learn how to host your own drift, visit driftclub.cc

For PLAYSONIC, the soundtrack is a selection of tracks from musicians and composers that festival visitors entered into the PLAYSONIC Map.
